Courtesy Pay Overdraft Privilege
In the event an account is overdrawn, members eligible for and enrolled in Courtesy Pay may choose not to have their transactions denied.
An account may show a negative balance because funds are not available, however, the cost of the transaction may be covered as though funds were available (up to a predetermined limit) using Courtesy Pay Overdraft Privilege, for a fee. This is an optional service and members are responsible for covering the transaction and fee as soon as possible.
Members are eligible to enroll for Courtesy Pay 6 months after opening and when an checking account is in good standing. Members choose whether to opt in for this service in writing, and can opt out in writing at any time. This service is designed for occasional use and can be revoked by NCCU for misuse or abuse.
Fees for Courtesy Pay are $30 per item cleared using the privilege. Loyal Home Rewards members are charged $27 per item. Members can’t use Courtesy Pay for in-branch cash withdrawals.
