The new Congress and administration are moving fast on tax reform, which could mean adding a new tax on credit unions and on the members they serve, including you. We must act now to ensure lawmakers understand that a new tax on credit unions is a tax increase on more than 140 million Americans.
The credit union tax status is a vital part of credit unions’ structure. Removing it would threaten the survival of the nation’s 4,500 credit unions, erode the financial well-being of more than 140 million credit union members nationwide, and impact the broader benefits credit unions provide to their communities and consumers overall.

The U.S. Currency Education Program has a number of digital resources available to teach the next generation about money! Stop by the Currency Academy for elementary school activities that delve into the art, science, and history of U.S. bills. Lesson plans, printable play money, and animated videos are also available to bring U.S. currency to life in any setting.
The Money Adventure mobile app is available for download in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store! This animated adventure introduces elementary students to the unique characteristics of U.S. currency. The note front explorer of the app contains a virtual banknote that students interact with to learn about the security features of a $20 bill. In the note back explorer, students must venture through the historical events illustrated on the back of U.S. currency to help Buck the Time-Traveling Dog save Professor Bill.
