Juli Nave latest HTT winner
Juli Nave, Student Support Coordinator for Carter County Schools, is the latest Northeast Community Credit Union Helping Teachers Teach grant winner.

Nave applied for the grant to purchase shelving for the Ranger Clothes Closet at Unaka Elementary. Any funding left after buying the shelves will be used to purchase younger boys shoes. The Ranger Clothes Closet provides a change of clothes for students who find themselves in need during the school day.
“It’s much easier to learn without worrying about worn out shoes or a torn T-shirt,” Nave said. “New shelves for the clothes closet would help organization and help find what size may be needed quicker. It would be a tremendous help in assisting in the care of Unaka Elementary’s students.”
Northeast Community Credit Union awards $300 every month to a classroom to be utilized for classroom needs, classroom activities, and academic enrichment. Helping Teachers Teach is open to teachers within Carter, Johnson, Unicoi, Sullivan and Washington counties who are members of Northeast Community Credit Union. Area teachers may become members online or at any NCCU location and can download the grant application on the credit union’s website: www.BeMyCU.org.
