Capturing Christmas in Downtown Elizabethton

Northeast Community Credit Union, City of Elizabethton Parks & Recreation Department, and Main Street Elizabethton are excited to announce a fun, interactive, and safe opportunity to capture the magic of Christmas downtown. From December 6 – 16, community members are invited to submit photos using #DowntownElizabethtonChristmas on Facebook and Instagram.

Photo instructions include taking a picture with any of the following items throughout downtown and posting to Facebook and Instagram using the hashtag #DowntownElizabethtonChristmas.

Photo opportunities for the contest include:

  • Covered Bridge Park
  • Downtown Shopping
  • Store Window Display
  • Holiday Beverage
  • Downtown Christmas Lights
  • Historic Fraser Fir
  • Hallmark Christmas Moment
  • Downtown Dining

Use your creativity and imagination to create a photo that you think best represents each of the contest prompts. Then post the photo to your Facebook and/or Instagram page with the hashtag #DowntownElizabethtonChristmas to have your picture counted in the contest. Make sure to include the complete hashtag or the photo will not be counted.

Each photo submitted on Facebook and Instagram using #DowntownElizabethtonChristmas is counted as a separate entry. The more entries shared, the better the chances to win prizes! Be sure to use the hashtag with each post to your Facebook and Instagram pages to have your entry count in the Capturing Christmas contest.

Visit mainstreetelizabethton.com or bemycu.org to download the instructions mentioned above. Each photo entry submitted by December 16 using #DowntownElizabethtonChristmas will be eligible for cash prize drawings, sponsored by Northeast Community Credit Union. Prizes include six $50 Visa gift cards and a grand prize of $100 Visa gift card. Winners will be announced by Friday, December 18th and prizes will be awarded in the Covered Bridge Park.
